Learn Play Thrive Approach to Autism
Hi, I'm Katie Gray (i.e., formerly Katie Rayer)! I am a certified speech-language pathologist by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). I have the best job in the world, and am so happy you stumbled upon this page! Infinite Limits Speech Therapy is focused on providing neurodiversity-affirming therapy to people in Texas.
I received my bachelor's degree in neurobiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Following that degree I completed the Lonestar LEND (Leadership Education in Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) fellowship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston's McGovern Medical School. Inspired by my work during my LEND fellowship, I received my Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin). As a part of my graduate training at UT Austin, I worked clinically with individuals of all ages who stutter and clutter at the Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering Education and Research (AMBC).
Following my time at UT, I worked in the public schools supporting students from age 3-21 with a wide range of communication goals. I also provided many district and campus level trainings for speech-language pathologists, parents, and students on best practices for stuttering. The public schools are definitely where I developed my "low key" clinical style which is built on connection, humor, and approachability.
Outside of work, I am devoted dog mom to my miniature dachshund Dragon. My husband Jordan and I take Dragon to all of the local dachshund races. He just won a trophy at one of the races for having the "floppiest ears!" Jordan and I also love attending concerts in the Austin area. Living in the live music capitol of the world is the best!
There is no one size fits all approach to speech therapy. During our sessions together, my goal is to partner with you to create a meaningful plan for your, or your child's, communication. I want you and your family to feel supported and empowered during our time together.
